Jazz Camp 2011
January 17 to 21

Jazz Camp 2011 will be Monday January 17 to Friday 21. Registration is now open.
For over thirty years Jazz Camp has been Australia's premier gathering of talented and motivated young musicians. It is a residential camp for instrumentalists and singers at all levels of experience, ages 11 to 19. The venue is the beautiful, peaceful and newly upgraded Naamaroo conference centre in Chatswood West on Sydney's lower north shore. The camp is presented by Jazz Workshop Australia.
We bring together a world-class team of expert tutors, with internationally acclaimed drummer and educator John Morrison as musical director and patron. For any student serious about learning to play jazz, achieving new heights of excellence, and having a great time, then Jazz Camp is the place!
For students ages 11 - 19 at all levels of Jazz playing experience: beginner, intermediate and advanced. We suggest students have at least two to three years experience on their instrument or around grade 3 - 4 level to get the most out of Jazz Camp. The camp is suitable for any instrument, including singers.
Vocalists work intensively with Jacki Cooper through a specially designed program. More advanced vocalists have the opportunity to learn improvisation techniques and to work with a small jazz ensemble.
